SIKH WELFARE COUNCIL in conjunction with KHALSA DHARMAK SABHA will be celebrating National day with a health awareness event at 18 Niven Road on the 9th of August 13.

The event will start at 10 am and will end at 2pm.

The highlights of the event would be:

• Free Blood pressure and Blood sugar tests and a booth highlighting Diabetes awareness
• A talk on WILL making for the elderly
• THE Cancer Society will be setting set up a booth for cancer awareness and will be distributing free Faecal occult blood test (FOBT) kits to eligible participants
• SINDA will also be setting up a booth to promote their activities

We will appreciate it if you could spread this message to your sanggat, friends and family members.

We need your support to make this event a fruitful and joyful one.

We also encourage active participation in the form of volunteers from you, your friends and sanggat.

The Sikh Welfare Council held a free health screening exercise on 28 April 2013 at the Singapore Khalsa Association (SKA) in conjunction with the Vesakhi Mela celebrations. 

Our staff and volunteers were out in full force to help out, and many mela visitors signed up for the free tests, which included blood pressure tests.
