YSA Soccer Event

Young Sikh Association kindly agreed to use its ‘Racial Harmony’ 4-A-Side Football Tournament as the platform for SIWEC fund-raising initiative. The event was held on 11 February 2012, at Uber Sports Football Courts. The Guest-of-Honour, Mr Michael Palmer, Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Punggol East, presented the cheque for $16, 100 for the launch of the SIWEC Mentorship Programme to the Chairman of SIWEC at the start of the tournament.

The tournament provided a platform for young Singaporeans from different backgrounds to meet, interact and network with one another. It also helped to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the different communities in Singapore in a fun and informal setting.
